GIRL!
We are absolutely overwhelmed with the outpour of love and joy we have received over the past two days from family and friends! We are so excited to meet our little princess, even though we are only halfway there!
The next two pictures are quite amusing. Before we headed over to our friends' house for the balloon pop I will admit that I practiced my surprised face in the mirror (because I know what I look like shocked and it isn't always very pretty...see below).
The above picture is the look of complete 100% shock when I saw the confetti was PINK and not blue. Waiting to find out the gender, I had absolutely no preference whether we were having a baby girl or boy. After the balloon was popped and I realized pink confetti=baby girl (below picture is the exact moment I connected those two dots), I realized all along I really thought we would be having a boy!
As you may have noticed, Dustin's initial shock wasn't captured on camera. I tried to get a practice run in before we actually popped the balloon so that I could make sure everything went as planned (I know my husband). His excuse for backing OUT of the picture: "There was confetti flying everywhere!" I'm not exactly sure what he expected to happen once it popped, but I can assure you his face showed just how surprised and excited he was! :)
Knowing now that we are having a little princess, I can't even imagine having a baby boy. Dustin is over-the-moon excited because he thinks she will be a Daddy's Girl and so he will always be the favorite. Can't say I don't agree, but seeing him talk about her makes my heart so happy.
A lot of people have asked us what her name will be, unfortunately we aren't quite sure yet! Way before we even decided it was time to start our family we have always had 1 boy name and 1 girl name picked out. Now that we know its actually time to decide, we are second-guessing our name and trying out alternatives to make sure we ultimately chose the perfect name for our perfect angel.
