Welcome to Bowling Pen!

Here's Our Story:

Dustin and I met in Las Vegas, NV. Dustin was stationed in Vegas with the Air Force and I had moved here in May of 2012 after I graduated from Texas A&M University to work for Caesars Entertaiment. Lucky for us, both our dogs are what society considers "big dogs" so we both frequented the "Over 35lbs" gated area of the Desert Breeze Dog Park often. We started talking a lot and then on 4th of July hung out for the first time.

Things were on the up and up after that when, after an amazing weekend on Lake Mead for Labor Day, Dustin found out he would go on tour to South Korea in February of 2013 for a whole year, and then be stationed in Italy for 3 years after. At first, neither of us knew what to say, think or feel, but we eventually came to realize saying goodbye for good was out of the question. So, with his bags packed and my eyes full of tears, we promised to make it through the year together.  I visited Korea the end of July for a week and Dustin was on leave for the entire month of November. During that month, we visited Texas so he could meet my family and that's when we got engaged. Four months later on March 30th, we got married (best day of our lives so far)!

 A week after the wedding, we moved to Italy! Aviano AB is located in Northern Italy, about 50 miles north of Venice. We absolutely LOVE living here and exploring Europe on the weekends. We decided that it would be a good idea to start this blog so that while we are overseas exploring and living the life, we can post what we've done and share pictures for everyone back in the States to see.
